Abby Keatinge

Abby describes herself as a “creatively curious” copywriter. She applies that creative curiosity to her work in content development, digital platform strategy, marketing and communications. At Purple, she is part of the firm’s creative team, working on global and national advertising campaigns, and brand and marketing initiatives. Abby joined Purple following her position as a junior copywriter and digital content specialist at Edelman. Prior to Edelman, she interned at a boutique marketing strategy agency and a nationally renowned Australian non-profit. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mass communications with a dual-concentration in creative advertising and strategic advertising from the Richard T. Robertson School of Media and Culture at Virginia Commonwealth University.

“Working alongside some of the most passionate and intelligent professionals in the industry is extremely rewarding. The breadth of experience and the diversity of backgrounds that everyone brings to the table is invigorating to soak in.”

“The digital age has brought with it much shorter attention spans. Today’s most effective copywriting demands ever-higher levels of clarity and brevity, and be instantly interesting.”

“No matter the topic or genre, a good book can be so inspiring. It’s always refreshing to see how an idea or story can be brought to life with words.”

“Sometimes you just have to tell yourself ‘It is what it is.’ Taking a deep breath and moving on requires far less energy than worrying about something that can’t be changed.”
