As a client team lead and campaign manager, Ella advises companies on strategic communications challenges and crisis situations, overseeing engagements from concept to execution. Ella has spent the last dozen years in public affairs, communications and issue advocacy for corporate, non-profit and political clients. Prior to joining Purple, she worked in Government Affairs for UnitedHealth Group. Before UHG, at Dewey Square Group, Ella helped lead a Fortune 15 company’s campaign-style “war room” during two major merger campaigns. In previous positions, she managed accounts for Marttila Strategies, a survey research and public affairs strategy firm, and consulted as an independent editor and researcher for non-profits and authors. Ella also worked in the press office of the Oversight and Government Reform Committee under Chairman Henry Waxman. A native of the Virgin Islands, Ella graduated from Harvard College with honors in History.
