Prior to joining Purple, Jaymi worked within student affairs, graduate enrollment management, and as a communications associate at Reingold Inc. As a member of the consulting team, she worked on content development and project management initiatives for the Department of Veteran Affairs – Mental Health Services and Tobacco & Health division. In a higher education policy, planning, & leadership graduate program, she took a range of courses including History of Higher Education, College Student Development, and courses in Action Research and Program Evaluation. Jaymi brings strengths in education policy, leadership development of undergraduate students, community-building, and curriculum development to projects within and outside of the education arena.
Jaymi worked with clients including the Department of Veteran Affairs – Mental Health Services and Tobacco & Health where she created content and toolkits to support tobacco cessation for Veterans. She is skilled at conducting interviews with SMEs and creating content that can be read and understood by diverse audiences.
One of her top five strengths from the Gallup assessment is “connectedness.” In team settings this means, she thrives in helping team members see how the work-related tasks fit together.
This would have to be a tie between reading Toni Morrison’s novel The Bluest Eye and The Warmth of Other Suns by Isabel Wilkerson.
