We operate in a highly collaborative environment and apply integrated team-based approaches to help clients:

  • NAVIGATE reputation issues, acute crises, key business choices and policy/regulatory changes to inform decision-making.

Purple helps the world’s most important organizations address their toughest challenges.

Based on a thorough understanding of all the ways campaigns can interact with target audiences, we expect this new colleague to support client teams and elevate our engagement planning and activation work over the long term. The ideal candidate has between 7-10 years of experience. Specifically, this role may span four core areas, with increased focus moving between areas depending on need:

Campaign Management:

As a deputy campaign manager, Purple would need the Director to play a central organizing role on teams and contribute directly to the creation of strategies and campaign plans. In this capacity, they would be working with a diverse set of Purple colleagues from insights, creative, and strategy, and be directly client-facing. In addition to developing detailed project plans to track campaign progress and coordinating internal and external resources, they would be expected to support the creation of client-ready strategies and deliverables.

Engagement Planning:

From their management seat on a team, Directors would need to bring forward clear recommendations on how our team’s programs should navigate and prioritize engagement channels. They will frequently be responsible for developing and executing innovative, multi-channel connection plans as part of a client’s overall campaign strategy. In particular, we'll look to these colleagues to develop strategic paid and earned engagement recommendations with a particular emphasis on digital and social media opportunities.

Activation Ownership:

Building on relevant political and agency experience, we would expect the colleague to consistently own the pen on a wide range of communication materials that directly connect target audience with client messages. These may include everything from LTEs and stand-by statements emerging from scenario planning to native advertising pieces and social media content.

General Support:

Additionally, we would look to the colleague to consistently help prepare new business proposals and recommendations for new and existing clients as well as support Purple marketing and company storytelling efforts as needed.

Experience, Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

  • 7-10 years of related experience.
  • Strong traditional and digital media skills and knowledge.
  • Experience managing paid media campaigns a plus.
  • Superb writing and proofreading skills.
  • Excellent organization, client service and communication skills.
  • Exceptional time management skills; ability to prioritize multiple projects at once.
  • Entrepreneurial self-starter who is polished and professional.
