Antoine Fagan

Antoine began his creative journey drawing the cartoons he’d watch on Saturday mornings. His love for the arts continued from there, leading him to Columbus College of Art & Design where he received a B.F.A. in Advertising and Graphic Design. Before joining Purple, Antoine was an Art Director at SmithGifford, a creative agency outside of Washington, D.C. Antoine’s deft touch has helped a variety of clients convey their message across media including print, digital, out-of-home and video. Along with a love for all aspects of design, he also has a passion for music, video games and funko pop vinyl figures. That, and bowling.

“Over the course of my career, I’ve learned how to talk about my work. Making something that looks well-designed is great, but you should always be able to explain creative decisions. Being able to communicate the thinking behind your work with colleagues and clients is vital.”

“Technology has definitely made life easier in my role. People might think that means doing great work should happen even faster. But effort and thought still needs to go into whatever you’re making – if you want great work. That still takes time.”

“Simple as it sounds, I believe in treating others as you wish to be treated. If you want respect, give respect. People will remember how you treat them in all kinds of situations.”
