Ben began his career in politics serving on Barack Obama’s 2012 reelection campaign and as a Deputy Field Organizer in Loudon County, Virginia before joining D.C.’s The Glover Park Group, where he spent nearly five years as a research analyst.
“Political campaigns are equal parts exhausting, exhilarating, frustrating and rewarding. Getting a taste of the campaign trail prepared me well for the corporate world. I learned how to put my head down and keep pushing in the face of uncertainty.”
“One of the biggest changes I’ve seen in my career so far is the fall in trust in polling. So to tell a compelling, data-driven story, you’ve got to broaden your perspective and consider other sources of knowledge. Always contextualize. Taking numbers at face value can be fatal.”
“I tell people starting out not to be afraid to take a chance on something – now is the time. It only gets more complicated as you get older and advance in your field.”
