As an Insights Manager at Purple, Amanda uses quantitative and qualitative research to translate insights into business strategy and communications campaigns. Prior to joining Purple, Amanda worked as a Research Manager at PSB Insights in Washington, DC. At PSB, she worked on a variety of corporate research projects including segmentations, message testing, and thought leadership. Amanda most recently worked on the 2020 Census Communications Contract, during which she helped conduct over 120 focus groups across the United States among hard-to-reach audiences. These insights were used to inform a multi-million-dollar campaign aimed at encouraging participation in the 2020 Census. Amanda earned a Bachelor of Science in both Political Science and Neuroscience from Union College in New York, where she was also a proud member of the Varsity Women’s Volleyball Team.
“Purple encourages everyone to think outside the box. In a world where information and technology move so quickly, traditional ways of thinking don’t always provide our clients with necessary answers to their questions. Purple is a place where creative solutions are not only accepted but celebrated.”
“The collaborative nature of Purple provides a unique experience for us to work with folks from different backgrounds and experiences. From insights, to creative, to strategy – I’m learning something new from my colleagues at Purple every day.”
“One piece of advice I would give to others is also something I try to remind myself every day – “progress over perfection.” Always raise your hand to take to on a new challenge, keeping in mind that while the end result won’t be perfect, you will get better at what you do by trying.”
