Matt has more than a decade of experience providing opinion research, message development, and strategic communication services to political campaigns, associations, corporations, and non-profit groups. Matt has conducted qualitative and quantitative research across the country on topics including health care, financial services, environmental regulation, education, and voting rights. Before joining Purple, Matt worked at APCO Worldwide, where he focused on helping clients meet their policy and legislative objectives through research among D.C. policy elites. He also worked at Lake Research Partners, one of the nation’s leading public opinion and political strategy research firms. His work at LRP included research and strategy for Democratic campaigns and progressive organizations working at the federal, state, and local level. Matt holds a Bachelor of Arts in political science from Duke University. His free time is devoted to finding new shows to binge watch with his wife, Duke sports, and golf.
