Kamei is a native of the Washington, D.C., Metropolitan area, graduating from Southern New Hampshire University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, bringing 13 years of diverse professional experience. Prior to accepting the role of Revenue Accountant at Purple, Kamei supported the revenue team at Smith & Nephew as a Revenue Accounting Manager for eight years, overseeing the entire order-to-cash operations. She was responsible for developing and implementing the revenue recognition processes for the organization. This included managing contract accounting, capitalization of costs, revenue recognition, billing and commission calculations. Kamei enjoys revitalizing organizations, initiating company-wide campaigns and capturing untapped opportunities for growth. As a results-oriented, decisive leader, she is adept at forging lucrative relationships with key partners, vendors and clients. In her free time, she enjoys food, fitness and family.
